Pre Litigation Department Team- Lead, Employment Law- focused on single-plaintiff employment matters-

This role is ideal for someone who is not only a skilled employment attorney but also a strong people manager and operational thinker. You will lead a team of pre-litigation associates while overseeing the departments workflow and process efficiency.
This is a key leadership position with significant impact on both client outcomes and team performance.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of employment law experience (plaintiff-side strongly preferred); pre-litigation experience required
- Proven ability to lead legal teams and manage workflows or operations in a legal setting
- Deep understanding of employment claims including wage & hour, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination
- Strong experience in settlement negotiations, case strategy, and client communication
- Excellent legal writing, case evaluation, and analytical skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a desire to help grow and refine a high-performing department
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of pre-litigation associates handling single-plaintiff employment cases
- Oversee the full pre-litigation lifecycle: from intake and case evaluation to settlement and resolution
- Personally evaluate and sign up new cases, assessing legal merit, potential value, and strategic path
- Manage and improve pre-litigation workflows, timelines, and case tracking systems
- Handle or supervise the drafting of demand letters, settlement negotiations, and communication with opposing counsel
- Collaborate with intake staff, legal assistants, and operations to ensure cases move efficiently
- Develop training resources and provide mentorship to junior attorneys and staff
- Work with firm leadership to scale the department and implement best practices
