ISIPINGO HOSPITAL JOB TITLE:

PROFESSIONAL NURSE – MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY PURPOSE OF POSITION

To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS

Must be able to practice within the scope of practice as Registered Nurse.

Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations.

Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.

Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the ward. COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

Must have grade 12

Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.

Preferably have two or more years of experience as Registered Nurse within the hospital setting.

Must be prepared to do shift-work (Night shift / Day Shift)

SKILLS

(Practical & Technical)

Must have excellent telephone skills.

Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.

Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.

Excellent observation skills.
