JOB TITLE:

CREDITORS CLERK

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To take full responsibility for the accurate capturing, processing, and reconciliation of all creditor transactions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of discrepancies.

EQYUITY REQUIREMENTS

Preference will be given to Coloured, African and White males and females.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Ensure the timely and accurate capturing, reconciliation, and processing of creditor transactions and payments.
  • Resolve all supplier queries promptly and efficiently, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and coding of all expenditure.
  • Verify that all required approvals and authorisations are obtained prior to processing payments.
  • Prepare and provide costings, reconciliations, and financial analysis to support the accounting team.
  • Ensure strict adherence to group policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports on creditors to the accounting team.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

  • Must have Grade 12 qualification.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months' relevant creditors experience.
  • The ideal person will have willingness to assume job ownership, work independently and apply principles of continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC would be an advantage.
