  • Delivering safe, high-quality patient care and ensuring clinical best practices are adhered to.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing Cath Lab staff.
  • Overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and efficient patient flow.
  • Managing budgets, stock, and cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
  • Supervising maintenance and optimal use of specialised equipment.
  • Driving quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Responsible for promoting the discipline: marketing.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS

  • Registered Nurse with a valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care /Nursing Management (advantageous).
  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology environment.
  • Diploma in Nursing Administration is essential.
  • The ideal person will have willingness to assume job ownership, work independently and apply principles of continuous improvement.
  • Computer literacy – MS Word & Excel.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and Cath Lab protocols.
  • Experience with advanced Cath Lab equipment and imaging technology.
  • Sound understanding of infection prevention, radiation safety, and risk management.
  • Financial and operational management experience (budgeting, stock control).
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and accreditation standards.
