KEY PERFROMANCE AREA
- Delivering safe, high-quality patient care and ensuring clinical best practices are adhered to.
- Leading, mentoring, and managing Cath Lab staff.
- Overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and efficient patient flow.
- Managing budgets, stock, and cost-effective resource utilization.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Supervising maintenance and optimal use of specialised equipment.
- Driving quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
- Responsible for promoting the discipline: marketing.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
- Registered Nurse with a valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care /Nursing Management (advantageous).
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology environment.
- Diploma in Nursing Administration is essential.
- The ideal person will have willingness to assume job ownership, work independently and apply principles of continuous improvement.
- Computer literacy – MS Word & Excel.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and Cath Lab protocols.
- Experience with advanced Cath Lab equipment and imaging technology.
- Sound understanding of infection prevention, radiation safety, and risk management.
- Financial and operational management experience (budgeting, stock control).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and accreditation standards.
