About the job TECHNICAL OFFICER

  • To ensure all maintenance duties to be fore filled

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Must be able to prioritise works requests.

Responsible for the maintenance work in various fields.

Completion of all Administration work related to maintenance and repairs.

After hours stand by and call out responsibilities.

Will have to within reason assist in general maintenance requirements.

Responsible for the maintenance of the air-conditioning systems within the business

Generator and sprinkler: weekly tested and daily checks for leaks or anything abnormal

Medical vacuum: Daily checks ensuring pumps are running with no leaks detected

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

Grade 12 Certificate

Relevant artisan NQF Level 4 qualification

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to deal with staff within the hospital.
  • Valid drivers licence.
  • The ideal candidate must have the willingness to assume job ownership, work independently and apply principles of continuous improvement.

Experience in Air-conditioning

Must have at least 3-5 years hands on experience in the field. Experience with chiller systems will be an advantage.

Experience within a Hospital environment will be an added advantage.

Someone who takes pride in the quality of workmanship and finishes.

Sound knowledge in respect of OHASA requirements.
