PURPOSE OF POSITION
To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Must be able to practice within the scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse.
Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations.
Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the ward.
COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Educational Qualifications & Experience)
Must be registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
Preferably have two or more years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in Maternity Ward.
Must be prepared to do shift-work (Night shift / Day Shift)
SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)
Must have excellent telephone skills.
Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
Excellent observation skills.
Must be computer literate
