JOB TITLE:

ENROLLED NURSE AUXILIARY

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS

• Must be able to practice within the scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
• Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
• Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the Theatre.

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Must be registered with SANC as Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.

• Preferably have two or more years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary within the hospital setting.

• Must be theatre experienced as circulating or anaesthetic nurse

• Must be prepared to do calls (Theatre Calls)

SKILLS

(Practical & Technical)

• Must have excellent telephone skills.

• Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.

• Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.

• Excellent observation skills.

• Must be computer literate
