PROFESSIONAL NURSE - CATH LAB (CITY HOSPITAL)

KEY PERFORMANCE ARES

• Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be competent with the Hospital's Policies and Regulations.
• Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
• Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Lab team are met.
• Assists in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Must have experience in handling drugs and scheduling is a legal requirement.
• Equipment maintenance and motivations.
• Ability to teach staff in the unit.
• To ensure that Cath Lab is always running at the highest standards.
• Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the Cath Lab.
• Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

• Matric -Grade 12 certificate.
• Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC.
• Minimum of one (1) year work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues are essential.
• Must be prepared to work additional hours.
• Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Must be computer literate – MS Word & Excel
• Must be prepared to do shift-work (Night shift / Day Shift
