Position: Custom Assistant

The Customs Assistant is responsible for managing and coordinating all customs clearance processes to ensure the timely and legal importation and exportation of goods. The role includes preparing documentation, liaising with customs authorities and brokers, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Customs Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and submit all import/export declarations and customs documentation.
- Ensure all shipments comply with Cambodian customs laws, airport regulations, and duty-free guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of customs documentation and declarations.

Coordination with Logistics & Suppliers
- Coordinate with logistics providers and suppliers to ensure the timely arrival and clearance of goods.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to procurement and warehouse teams.
- Ensure HS codes and documentation are correctly applied to each shipment.

Problem Resolution & Risk Mitigation
- Resolve customs clearance issues and delays by proactively communicating with customs officers.
- Respond to inspections and provide required documentation when requested.
- Monitor for regulatory updates and inform relevant departments.

Maintain customs records for internal and external audits.
- Support customs reporting, duties calculations, and tax exemption procedures where applicable.
- Assist with internal reviews of import/export processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree or certification in International Trade, Logistics, or Customs Procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in customs clearance or international trade compliance.
- Solid understanding of Cambodian customs regulations and HS codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customs

Salary: $400 - $500

Location: Phnom-Penh at TIA Techo International Airport (Cambodia)
