I. Job Overview
The General Manager oversees all logistics operations, business performance, and team management to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery. The role includes strategic planning, operational control, customer satisfaction, financial management, and driving business growth in the logistics industry.
II. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute business strategies to improve operational efficiency and company profitability.
- Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, fleet management, freight forwarding, and last-mile delivery.
- Ensure on-time delivery, accuracy, and service quality.
- Optimize supply chain processes to reduce operational costs.
- Monitor P&L, revenue targets, cost control, and performance.
- Approve operational budgets and manage resource allocation.
- Conduct regular operational and financial performance reviews.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and resolve escalated issues.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract renewals.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure company compliance with logistics regulations, transportation laws, customs rules, and safety standards.
- Manage operational risks, incidents, and emergency response plans.
- Other tasks assigned by top management.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Strong communication skills in Chinese language
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, market trends, and industry regulations.
- Proven experience in business strategy, budgeting, P&L management, and driving company growth.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, Strong analytical skills and decision-making skills with the ability to build, manage, and motivate high-performing teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to company values.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, Proven experience working with Chinese partners is an advantage.
