Job Summary

We are looking for a Japanese Teacher Virtual Assistant (VA) to provide engaging online Japanese language lessons and learning support to students worldwide. The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese, passionate about teaching, and comfortable working in a remote, digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver online Japanese language lessons (Beginner to Advanced levels)

  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and interactive activities

  • Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

  • Support students with pronunciation, grammar, kanji, and vocabulary

  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback

  • Customize lessons based on student goals (JLPT, conversation, business Japanese, etc.)

  • Manage class schedules and conduct sessions via online platforms

  • Communicate with students through chat, email, or learning management systems

  • Maintain a professional and engaging virtual classroom environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Native or fluent Japanese speaker

  • Teaching experience (online teaching preferred)

  • Japanese teaching certification or relevant education is an advantage

  • Good English communication skills

  • Familiarity with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, LMS platforms)

  • Stable internet connection and quiet workspace

  • Patient, engaging, and student-centered teaching style

Preferred Skills

  • Experience teaching non-native Japanese learners

  • Knowledge of JLPT exam preparation

  • Ability to create digital learning materials (PPTs, PDFs, worksheets)

  • Basic administrative or VA experience is a plus
