JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for and involved in (a) the delivery of accurate, timely and comprehensive reports and analysis, (b) supporting the needs for commercial information and related analysis, and (c) research and financial modeling strategic initiatives and operating projects. This includes but is not limited to :

- Preparing budgets and forecasts, from liaising with the component sections of the business unit to the submission of required reports and analysis;

- Maintaining commercial information, including those relating to price calculations and the maintenance of prices in the enterprise resource planning system (SAP);

- Contributing to periodic financial reports and analysis submitted to the Group, external entities and business unit management;

- Drafting financial models and project proposals in support of strategic initiatives and operating projects;

- Analyzing financial information in aid of financial planning and to assist senior business managers in decision making, in the preparation of financial reports, and in developing and implementing strategies to maximize business resources;

Performing other designated tasks:

- In periodic finance and accounting processes, i.e., month end and year end close activities;

- As necessitated by audits and compliance mandates, e.g, financial, tax and other regulatory audits, regulatory filings, accrediting agency audits, customer audits, etc.

- As back-up support, where needed, to ensure SAP activities are uninterrupted.

- As required to support the Finance Department and other tasks.

KEY SKILLS :

1. Familiarity / working knowledge ERP system;

2. Computer proficiency, particularly in use of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint);

3. Basic knowledge of GAAP and IFRS in terms of definitions, requirements, practices, etc.;

4. Experience in Product Costing

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

A. Education

Graduate of a full Accountancy Course or similar course with strong emphasis on business financials, business processes and business management (including that of industrial engineering).

B. Relevant Work Experience ;

- Experience in a similar position or in handling the related reports;

- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Programs (ERP); hands on experience of SAP is an advantage;

- Good command of the MS Office suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint);

- Minimum familiarity with operations and set up of manufacturing entities, either from an audit or owning entity's perspective; work experience in a manufacturing set up is a definite advantage;
