About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in Quality Assurance (QA), specifically within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in testing applications related to motor and/or medical insurance lines of business (LOBs).
You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of insurance applications through comprehensive testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track bugs or issues to closure.
- Ensure that applications meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist end-users during the testing process.
- Continuously enhance testing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of strong experience in QA/Test Engineering.
- Solid understanding and practical experience in motor and/or medical insurance applications testing.
- Experience in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla).
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have:
- Experience in automation testing tools will be an added advantage.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with database querying for backend testing.
