About the Role
Juniper Horizons are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious luxury wedding venue in Worfield, Shropshire. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented and driven Senior Sous Chef to join a high-performing kitchen team delivering outstanding culinary experiences for weddings and exclusive events.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in leading and managing the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis
- Deliver high-quality, fine dining dishes consistently to an exceptional standard
- Assist in menu development, with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations during high-volume wedding and event service
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and compliance
- Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, and kitchen cost control
- Uphold the venue's reputation for excellence in food presentation and service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine dining environment
- Strong background in high-end hospitality, ideally within events or wedding venues
- Experience in French cuisine is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence
- Relevant culinary qualifications (preferred)
