About our client:

Our client is a leading company that develops and markets breast image analysis and cutting edge machine learning applications and services. Their product improves breast cancer survival rates by detecting cancers earlier so that treatment can be more effective and less invasive.

About the position:

We are looking for a Financial Accountant who is eager to take ownership and elevate our client´s financial operations. This is a new and pivotal role in our growing team, offering the opportunity to shape financial processes and contribute directly to their international expansion. You will be part of a highly motivated, international and collaborative group of professionals with experience in breast imaging, machine learning, algorithm development and clinical research working in an informal atmosphere.

You will be responsible for accurate and timely financial accounting in the broadest sense across multiple entities, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. You'll help build a scalable finance function that supports strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • ​Full responsibility of financial accounting of three legal entities (NL, USA, Denmark).
  • Lead and maintain the relationship with external accounting and tax partners.
  • Ensure correct and complete invoicing flow and related AR debtor management.
  • Coordinate the monthly financial closing and related reporting to the Management team and supervisory board.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit, including preparation of the audit file and liaising with auditors.
  • Own and adapt the companies internal control policies to support the growth of the company.
  • Optimize ERP systems and automate financial workflows.
  • Ensure tax compliance and timely tax filing (CIT, wage tax, VAT etc) with our external advisors.
  • Support funding activities by managing the financial data room.
  • Manage company's cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
  • Own the company's insurance portfolio.

Job requirements

You are a driven and flexible person who enjoys the freedom of shaping your own role within the team and the company. You are accurate, proactive, efficient, collaborative and able to communicate within the company on various levels. Furthermore, you have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar financial or accounting role.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Familiar with Accounting tools (e.g. Exact Online, Quickbooks), CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), billing tools and similar applications.
  • Ability to transfer ideas and agreements to paper in professional language.
  • Excellent all-round communication skills in Dutch and English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in either Healthcare or IT development industry.
