Platform Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Platform Engineer for a reference client in the Financial Services sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, automating, and securing platform services that support critical business applications in an international and highly complex environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation in containerization and IT automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and define platform requirements for client business applications;
• Design, plan, deploy, and configure Kubernetes clusters and container-based platforms;
• Implement and optimize automated software deployment and distribution processes;
• Perform containerization of both modern applications and legacy systems;
• Apply and enforce security best practices across platform services;
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth go-live and transition phases;
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer to managed service providers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Platform Engineering and container-based environments;
• Strong experience with Red Hat, Kubernetes, Docker, and Java-based technologies (Oracle, OpenJDK, JBoss EAP, Tomcat);
• Solid automation skills using Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML;
• Experience with Flux, Kustomization, RBACs, and Network Policies;
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Bitbucket, Concourse, Ansible Automation Platform, and Artifactory;
• Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes and service management frameworks;
• Experience working with Load Balancers, TLS certificates, Firewall rules, and network zoning;
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools, including Dynatrace and Grafana;
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise infrastructure and network environments;
• Experience using Confluence and Jira;

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
