Senior Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a fast-growing company in the industrial sector. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a high-impact international project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute accounting processes in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy of accounting records and timely delivery of financial reports.

• Analyze financial statements, identifying significant variances and proposing improvements to financial processes and internal controls.

• Coordinate internal and external audits, providing the necessary documentation and explanations to ensure compliance and transparency.

• Prepare financial and management reports for presentation to senior management and the international headquarters.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, procurement, logistics) to ensure accounting practices accurately reflect business operations.

• Identify and implement opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and increase accounting efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in senior accounting roles, preferably in the industrial sector or within multinational environments.

• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, as well as Portuguese accounting and tax regulations.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERPs (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high accuracy in all deliverables.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in multicultural environments.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
