Sr. Site Reliability Engineer, Stack Management

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, maintaining, and managing our client's infrastructure which includes solving some of the most challenging cloud access and data security problems for enterprise customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support existing IT infrastructure and automation tools.
  • Lead and implement projects for continued infrastructure improvement, infrastructure automation, and deployments of new systems.
  • Combines understanding of automation needs and IT aspects to provide stable, efficient, and self-service R&D Stacks.
  • Looking for a Hands-On person that is familiar with new technologies and can take a task from scratch to finish with ease!

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent required, Masters Degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred

Preferred Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of Linux System Administration, including troubleshooting with good problem-solving skills experience
  • 3+ years of scripting proficiency (Bash/Python/Perl) experience
  • Experience with scaling and operationalizing distributed data stores, file systems, and services (Kafka, Redis, Mongo, etc.)
  • Ability to handle several tasks in parallel, effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment

Desired Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure automation solutions such as Ansible, Puppet, RunDeck, Chef
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (Docker), Rancher, Jenkins (or equivalent), Git (or equivalent)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate in an open, transparent, and consistent manner with team and co-workers.
  • Determined and ever-ready to roll up sleeves to respond to customer needs proactively and promptly.
  • Achievement orientated and willing to take responsibility for own actions.
  • Innovative and posses an out-of-the-box thinking to foster original ideas.
  • Must be amenable to a work-from-home job setup with a working desktop/laptop and high speed internet connection.
