About the Role

Were looking for a technically skilled and user-focused Application Support Analyst to join the digital team at Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP)Hong Kongs largest and most iconic sports and entertainment venue.

This is not a typical back-office IT support role. You will work on mission-critical systems supporting ticketing, mobile applications, and the Venue Booking System (VBS), ensuring seamless experiences for both users and event operators. Youll be involved in both day-to-day support and real-time event operations, collaborating with vendors and business teams to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and application support for KTSPs core systems, including:
    • Ticketing platforms
    • Mobile/web applications
    • API Management Platform
    • Venue Booking System (VBS) for facility reservations and sports programme enrolments
  • Perform incident diagnosis and troubleshooting, and work with vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance and logs, especially during high-volume periods and events.
  • Assist in change management, testing, and release coordination for application updates and patches.
  • Engage with internal users and frontline staff to gather feedback and understand workflow needs.
  • Help identify improvement areas in applications and user experience.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation, user manuals, and support procedures.
  • Support live events or peak operations as part of an event duty roster, ensuring smooth digital operations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application support, IT operations, or technical helpdesk.
  • Hands-on experience supporting web or mobile platforms, ideally customer-facing.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Windows OS, networking basics
    • Web technologies (HTML, JSON, APIs)
    • Databases (e.g. SQL, MySQL) and application logs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
  • Self-motivated with a service-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.

  • Experience with event tech, ticketing systems, or SaaS platforms.
  • Exposure to systems like VBS (Venue Booking Systems), CRM tools, or POS.
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow) or log monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps practices.
