Role Introduction

This is a key role within the ticketing team of a new venue and is a unique opportunity to be part of the startup team for Kai Tak Sport Park. The role will support and input into the first events, seating layouts, ticket templates, processes and policies for the ticketing operation for the upcoming events.

The Manager - Client Account (Ticketing) is responsible for supporting with the setup and management of ticketed events for KTSP on the ticketing systems. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the set-up of ticketed events, on-sale process, initial manifests through to settlement on the maturity of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the set up and enabling of shows/events on the ticketing system and online via the relevant ticket agent. To ensure that all events on sale are set up correctly to the agreed schedule and that the required information is available to all relevant parties. This will include supporting the ticket agent with, creating the venue, seating layout, configuration of event, adding price charts and designing, applying ticket template and gathering all marketing and promotional information in relation to the event and venue.
  • Key liaison with Client and Ticket Agents to gather information and manage the event on-sale from start to end.
  • Create and update manifests for each relevant event based on the agreed capacity/allocation for the event / concert.
  • Create and maintain an event file for each event to include official confirmation details of the event, approved seating layout, manifest, agreed allocations, final settlement details and all other relevant information relating to the event and venue.
  • Ensure the client is kept updated with all sales figures as and when required and to be proactive in negotiating to increase allocations and mark back allocations as and when required.
  • Fully responsible for the management of each allocated event from the initial proposed contract to the end of event settlement. Responsible for supplying and agreeing the ticket sales settlement figures for the event with the Head of Client Services at the close of the event, responsible for presenting a provisional settlement on the night of the event with the Head of Client Services for the event promoter as and when required.
  • Ensure the client receives a full breakdown of confirmed sales, customer details, seat deals and any customer requirements on the event day.
  • Coordinate with the Operations teams on layouts and operational requirements and with the Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure that all correct event information is displayed online and in marketing materials
  • Ensure that tickets are available at all points of sale and that all points of sale have full event/venue information prior to on-sale.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with this post as determined by the Head of Ticketing and Head of Client Services.

Requirements

  • Diploma holder or above.
  • Minimum 3 years working knowledge of ticketing systems in Events/ Venue management industry.
  • Customer service experience within a customer focused environment.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience of using ticketing systems and the ability to use a variety of software packages.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients effectively.
  • Sales and Marketing knowledge to deal with customers and effectively with clients.
  • Ability to manage pressure, and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills, including interpreting data and reports.
  • Commitment to and the flexibility to work shifts as determined by the business. This may include working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Committed to on-going personal development and team development.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage.
