Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester

From £36,000 per annum DOE

About the Role

The successful candidate will  step right into a hands-on garage setting, testing vehicles, diagnosing faults, and executing repairs. You'll be the one who sorts MOTs and keeps them ticking over smoothly, all while respecting manufacturer standards for every taskfrom brakes and diagnostics to exhausts and servicing. You'll be more than a technician; you'll be a trusted face in the workshop, ensuring each vehicle leaves reliably road-worthy.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 17:00.

No weekends 

Key Duties

  • Conduct MOT tests with meticulous attention.

  • Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults.

  • Perform servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer specs.

  • Communicate clearly with customersexplain work, give updates, manage expectations.

  • Keep track of paperwork and test results, uphold AA and AutoCare standards.

  • Occasionally assist with customer pickup/delivery arrangements or courtesy car logistics.

Key Requirements

  • Valid MOT Tester accreditation.

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technicianservicing, fault-finding, repairs.

  • Sound understanding of MOT regulations and safety standards.


  • NVQ Level 3 Qualifications
