CNC Programmer, Setter, Turner

Up to £19 per hour

Bideford, North Devon

About the role

As a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Turner, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and troubleshooting programs for a range of CNC Multi Axis Lathes. You will be working with multi-axis sliding and fixed head lathes to produce intricate components for high-tech industries. The role involves programming from scratch, interpreting complex engineering drawings, setting up machines, and performing critical first-off inspections to ensure every part is crafted to tight tolerances. Youll be joining a stable and highly skilled workforce, contributing to the development of machining strategies for both new and existing parts.

Working hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 17:00

  • Friday: 08:00 12:00

Key duties

  • Create program for multi axis CNC lathes

  • Setting and operating multi-axis CNC Lathes

  • Creation of program / machine setting sheets

  • Running batch work, checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment

  • Developing machining strategies with Engineering for new and existing parts

Key requirements

  • Programming and setting experience of CNC turning machines

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings

  • Experience programming Fanuc controlled machine

Desirable

  • Previous experience of Ciziten Sliding head machines

  • Experience with Edgecam or equivalent programming software's
