We’re on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Secretary to support a busy finance office. If you’re someone who thrives on being the calm in the storm, likes ticking off a to-do list, and enjoys keeping people organised (even when they don’t realise they need it), this might be worth your attention.
About the role:
You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and a trusted support to the wider team. Expect a mix of admin, call handling, appointment booking, and day-to-day office coordination. It’s a part-time position, so perfect if you’re looking for consistent hours without the full-time commitment. You won’t be expected to do everything at once, but you will need to stay on top of your game and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

They specialise in looking after small businesses and limited companiesoffering a down-to-earth, approachable service with no fluff. They’ve got a good reputation locally, a steady client base, and a strong focus on doing things properly. While they’re serious about their work, they don’t take themselves too seriously, and the office has a relaxed but focused feel.
Working hours:
20 hours per week
10-14:30 five days a week
Days and hours can be flexible dependant on conditions
Key duties:
Answering incoming calls and directing them to the right person
Managing emails, post, and general office communications
Booking in appointments and maintaining the team diary
Supporting with basic admin and document preparation
Keeping client records up to date and organised
Providing a warm, professional first impression to all visitors
Key requirements:
Previous experience in a secretary or office support role
Confident using email, calendars, and basic office software
A clear and friendly phone manner
Strong organisational skills
