Job Description:

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£42,000+ DOE + Monthly Bonus + Overtime Available
Retford, Nottinghamshire

Were on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Vehicle Technician / Mechanic who knows their way around engines, diagnostics, and every nut and bolt in between. If you've got at least 5 years of UK experience, a Level 3 qualification (or close to it), and you're ready to join a relaxed, down-to-earth garage where quality comes before quotas keep reading. This isn't just another job under the bonnet. You'll be working on all makes and models, from the everyday run-arounds to commercial vans no two days are ever the same here. You'll have the autonomy to get on with the job in a garage that values your input and lets your experience do the talking. From diagnostics and servicing to fault-finding and repairs, you'll be trusted to do what you do best. And if you're someone whose looking to progress, there's a genuine path here towards Master Technician or Service Manager.

You'll be joining a well-established independent garage in Retford with a reputation built on trust, transparency, and top-notch workmanship. The vibe? Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

  • No weekend work yes, your weekends are truly yours!

Key Duties

  • Full diagnostics, fault-finding and general repairs

  • Servicing of vehicles (all makes and models)

  • Carrying out MOT prep and inspections

  • Working independently and part of a small, tight-knit team

  • Ensuring quality control and health & safety standards are met

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of UK-based experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

  • UK Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (desirable)

  • Full, clean UK driving licence

  • Must have own tools

  • Great attitude and a passion for delivering quality workmanship

  • Ability to work unsupervised with good time management
