Were recruiting for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a well-known country pub on the outskirts of Basingstoke. Its a full-time, hands-on role for someone confident running a kitchen and delivering consistently high standards.

About the role

Youll be responsible for all aspects of kitchen service from leading daily prep and service, to ordering, stock management, and team training. This is a busy kitchen, so youll need to be organised, reliable, and able to keep standards tight. Youll have the freedom to influence the menu and help grow the food side of the business. A performance-related bonus of £5,000 is in place for the right person.

Working hours

5 days a week- Approximately 45 hours a week

Split Shift

Key duties

  • Lead chef on shift

  • Stock control and ordering

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience running a kitchen

  • Strong cooking ability and leadership skills

  • Confident managing kitchen operations and costs

  • Reliable and consistent with a calm, professional approach
