Job Summary:

The Fire & General Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance, operation, and repair of all electrical systems and fire protection equipment throughout the hotel or resort. The role ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of all electrical systems.
  • Ensure fire alarm, fire detection, emergency lighting, and firefighting equipment are fully operational.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical and fire protection systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and fire system issues.
  • Monitor generators, transformers, switchboards, UPS systems, and electrical panels.
  • Coordinate fire alarm testing, emergency drills, and system inspections.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logbooks, and service reports.
  • Ensure compliance with fire life safety regulations and hotel standards.
  • Supervise electrical technicians and contractors.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and fire-related incidents.
  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and according to electrical safety standards.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for electrical and fire systems.
  • Support renovation and engineering projects when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical distribution, generators, UPS, HVAC electrical controls, and building electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and fire safety regulations.

  • May require working at heights and handling electrical tools and equipment.
