Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to support a busy contractor specializing in industrial and commercial electrical projects across the Lower Mainland. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety professional who thrives in subcontractor-heavy environments and can balance compliance with productivity in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily HSE operations across multiple project sites, service shops, and office locations.
- Maintain and support COR certification through internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, review, and implement health & safety policies, manuals, and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are documented and followed up.
- Support supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors in safe work practices and site compliance.
- Maintain accurate records including training logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation.

Deliver orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings to field and office personnel.
- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and regulators to ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and other requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of HSE experience within construction, electrical, or industrial services.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC requirements and safety compliance standards.

Proven experience with COR certification (required).

NCSO designation (required); CRSP considered an asset.
- Skilled at writing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital safety platforms.
- Valid drivers license with ability to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience and qualifications).
