Mechanical Estimator 
Locations: Burnaby & Port Coquitlam | 2 Positions

We are hiring on behalf of two well-established mechanical contractors in Metro Vancouver, each looking to add an experienced Mechanical Estimator to their growing teams. Both companies specialize in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential construction projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced, detail-oriented estimating work and has a solid understanding of mechanical systems including plumbing, piping, and HVAC.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical scopes on special projects (TI, renovations, retrofits, etc.)

• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions to create detailed take-offs and proposals

• Manage tender processes including trade/supplier coordination and addendum distribution

• Price change orders, site instructions, and assist with project handoff post-award

• Identify project risks and constraints related to occupied spaces or existing infrastructure

• Maintain historical data, update estimating databases, and track bid performance

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating (special projects or TI is a plus)

• Familiarity with mechanical systems (plumbing, HVAC, piping)

• Proficiency with estimating software (AutoBid, Trimble, or similar)

• Strong Excel and general MS Office skills

• Able to read construction drawings and specifications with ease

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or related field is an asset
