Logistics Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and set up the overall Logistics Model and operating framework, covering transportation, distribution, warehousing, delivery routes, inventory movement, and logistics processes to create a scalable and efficient end-to-end logistics operation.
- Design and optimize the distribution network and delivery model, including the structure and operations of hubs, warehouses, distributors, and delivery routes to ensure products are delivered efficiently while maintaining the required service levels.
- Drive logistics cost reduction and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities to optimize transportation costs, warehouse expenses, manpower, fleet utilization, delivery routes, and other operational resources without compromising service quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations, reviewing existing processes, identifying operational gaps and inefficiencies, and implementing practical solutions to improve productivity, delivery performance, turnaround time, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Manage and develop relationships with 3PL providers, distributors, transportation partners, and logistics vendors, including service performance monitoring, contract management, cost negotiation, and ensuring partners consistently meet agreed operational standards.
- Establish, monitor, and analyze key logistics KPIs and performance metrics, such as delivery accuracy, on-time delivery, transportation costs, utilization, productivity, and service levels, using data to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to align logistics capacity and processes with business requirements, support business expansion, and ensure smooth execution of new products, locations, distributors, or operational initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain management, with experience managing end-to-end logistics operations.
- Strong experience in developing logistics models, distribution networks, and operational processes, preferably in a growing or expanding business.
- Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational improvements through process optimization and data analysis.
- Strong experience managing 3PLs, distributors, transportation providers, and external logistics partners.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to logistics hubs, warehouses, and distributor locations across the country to monitor operations and implement improvements.
