Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Inventory to lead inventory strategy, warehouse inventory control, and stock optimization across a large-scale distribution and fulfillment operation. This role will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, improving operational efficiency, minimizing inventory risks, and driving continuous process improvements to support a fast-paced supply chain environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams to develop inventory strategies that enhance service levels while optimizing inventory investment. The role is particularly suited to professionals with experience managing high-value products, technology devices, telecommunications equipment, electronics, or large-scale distribution operations. The company operates across digital infrastructure, distribution, fulfillment, and technology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall inventory management strategy to ensure optimal stock availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient inventory investment.
  • Lead inventory planning, replenishment, stock control, cycle counting, and annual physical inventory activities across warehouses and distribution centers.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs, including inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, stock aging, slow-moving inventory, stock discrepancies, and inventory shrinkage.
  • Establish and continuously improve inventory control policies, SOPs, governance, and best practices to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Demand Planning, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to optimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service targets.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives using forecasting, data analytics, ABC classification, safety stock management, and demand planning methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis of inventory variances and implement preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions within ERP/WMS systems and maintain high standards of inventory data integrity.
  • Manage inventory for high-value products and oversee product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions, returns, warranty stock, obsolete inventory, and end-of-life management.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on warehouse productivity, inventory visibility, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Develop inventory dashboards and management reports to support executive decision-making and business planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control team while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls, inventory governance, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, or Distribution Management.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing inventory operations and teams.
  • Experience in technology, telecommunications, electronics, IT distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or high-value product environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control methodologies, warehouse operations, demand planning, and supply chain processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Manhattan, or equivalent).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Good command of English and Thai.
