Chief Operating Officer (Island Project)
The COO will oversee all operational aspects of the project, ensuring seamless execution across construction, engineering, site management, logistics, and government affairs. This role ensures regulatory compliance, efficiency, and timely project delivery while acting as the key liaison with government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations & Leadership
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with project goals.
- Oversee construction, engineering, logistics, and government affairs to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to drive project success.
Construction & Engineering Oversight
- Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate engineering and site management teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Government & Regulatory Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison with government authorities to facilitate approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee permits, licenses, and legal requirements to avoid project delays.
- Ensure adherence to all local and national regulations.
Logistics & Procurement Management
- Oversee procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to optimize costs and maintain quality.
- Implement supply chain strategies to minimize disruptions.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure project continuity.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across operations.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Experience: 15+ years in large-scale real estate/infrastructure projects, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Expertise: Construction, engineering, logistics, compliance, and government processes.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and optimize operations.
- Financial & Strategic Management: Strong budgeting, cost control, and contract negotiation skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and operational analytics.
- Language: Fluent in English and Thai.
