About the job Business Controller

Act as a strategic business partner to the Service business (Exiting Installation - EI) by providing robust financial controlling support. Ensure the company's EI strategy is implemented efficiently and sustainably while driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Exiting Installation (EI) Business Controlling

  • Analyze EI business performance, risks, and financial metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Drive EI financial results to meet company objectives and long-term strategic goals.
  • Develop and project the EI Forecast Operating Revenue (OR) and Contribution 1 (C1) for company-wide financial measurement.

2. EI Credit Control Management

  • Actively participate in EI Credit Control Meetings, ensuring full engagement and supporting action plans to improve free cash flow.
  • Assist in resolving financial disputes (e.g., reconciliation issues, SST).

3. Controlling & Management Accounting Reporting

  • Collaborate with EI operations to finalize financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, aligning them with company resources and strategic goals.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports for senior management to support key business decisions.
  • Monitor performance against forecasts/budgets, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
  • Evaluate branch financial performance, identifying potential gaps and coordinating corrective actions with EI operations.
  • Review and approve billing requests, credit notes, and debit notes.
  • Serve as a key finance user for SAP and other financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.

4. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform month-end, quarterly, and yearly financial closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit half-year and year-end reports to JSG.
  • Maintain and enhance Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR).
  • Input budgeted financial data into SAP and manage system reconciliation.
  • Oversee monthly reconciliations and quarterly claims for DLFI.
  • Continuously monitor and streamline financial processes and procedures in SHAPE and BSC environments.
  • Support external audits, ensuring compliance and transparency.

Professional Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 8-10 years in accounting, finance, or business controlling, ideally in construction, engineering, project management, or service-related industries.
  • Business Controlling: 3-4 years in a Business Controller role within a multinational company is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
  • Systems Proficiency: Strong expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
