Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic PMO Director to lead and oversee the Project for the Island Project. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale construction and design initiatives, focusing on strategic direction, governance, resource management, and risk mitigation. The PMO Director will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, aligning project activities with business objectives, and ensuring timely, within-budget delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the PMO framework, governance structures, and reporting standards to align with organizational goals.
- Implement standardized project management processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Align project objectives with the strategic vision of the Island Project and collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize activities.
- Oversee project budgets, manage cost controls, and implement financial forecasting.
- Monitor project schedules, resolve delays, and ensure milestones are met on time.
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across project stages.
- Act as the liaison between project teams, contractors, senior management, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
- Develop and track KPIs to evaluate project and team performance, fostering continuous improvement.
- Mentor project management teams and promote professional growth.
- Oversee contractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP, PgMP, or other recognized project management certifications preferred.
- 15+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure, construction, or real estate projects, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or project management role.
- Proven experience overseeing multimillion-dollar projects and cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience with island or resort development is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI, Lean).
- Expertise in budgeting, risk management, and performance monitoring for large-scale projects.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both English and Thai (preferred).
