About the job Head of Accounting

Key responsibility:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting to provide clear, transparent information for management and investors.
  • Oversee all statutory reporting requirements, delivering financial results and in-depth analysis to monitor actual performance against business goals.
  • Lead corporate accounting functions, including external financial reporting, payment processing, and compliance with tax obligations.
  • Manage daily cash flow, short-term investments, intercompany financing, dividend distribution, and banking activities, driving initiatives to optimize cash flow.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with established corporate policies and standards.
  • Oversee income, indirect, and international tax compliance, including the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and tax disclosure reports.
  • Work with legal and tax advisors on direct and indirect tax matters, representing the company in tax courts and government engagements as necessary.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, ensure regulatory reporting compliance, and represent the companys legal entities on the Board of Directors when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting / Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a multinational corporation, preferably with significant finance leadership.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting standards (Thai GAAP and US GAAP), including hands-on experience with SAP R/3.
  • Strong understanding of direct and indirect taxation, including VAT, withholding tax, deferred tax, and other business taxes.
  • Proficient in internal control procedures, especially within an integrated manufacturing and commercial organization.
  • Proven ability in stakeholder and people management, with a track record in building effective teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity, manage diversity, and adapt quickly to change.
