Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to lead and execute field based agricultural development and research projects. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with contractors, engineers, academic researchers, and local farming communities. The ideal candidate will manage timelines, budgets, and field operations while ensuring strong alignment between technical goals and practical implementation. You will work closely with the PMO Director and serve as a vital link between field operations and academic stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with the PMO Director and internal & external stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage project resources, schedules, and budgets for field implementation.
  • Liaise with engineers and contractors to monitor construction milestones and resolve field issues.
  • Collaborate with academic teams on research alignment, data collection, and on-ground agricultural trials.
  • Track project status, risks, and dependencies, and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Schedule and facilitate on-site and online meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track follow-ups.
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams for successful project delivery.
  • Support procurement and basic financial tracking related to project activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in project management or implementation of cross-functional or community-based projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and community-based teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced field environments.
  • Able to work independently and travel regularly to project sites.
  • Eagerness to learn new concepts, adapt to change, and adopt a growth mindset including the ability to learn, relearn, and unlearn as needed.
