Responsibilities
- Plan and manage software development projects from kick-off through to successful on-time delivery
- Gather requirements from the business side and translate them into clear technical requirements and tasks for the development team
- Create issues and tasks in the project management system from a PM perspective, and run sprint meetings with the development team to agree on detail, scope and a clear conclusion before work starts
- Track the development team's progress and status, report updates, assess risks, adjust timelines and resolve issues as they come up when work slips off plan
- Apply AI tools across the workflow — project structure planning, meeting summaries, drafting requirement documents, workflow management — to work faster and more accurately
- Act as the bridge between Business, Development, QA/Testing, UX/UI and Marketing, coordinating smoothly and with a working understanding of technical constraints
- Prepare project progress reports for meetings with Heads, quarterly reports on the development team, and summarise meetings from the developer perspective for the team
- Develop the team through coaching and by organising training
- Advise the development team on system development problems, and follow up with the relevant teams to clear blockers so development can continue Review the tester's test list for each issue
- Govern the development team's working process to make sure it is followed correctly
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of project management experience in IT or software
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and a basic grasp of system architecture
- Able to hold technical conversations with developers — a working understanding of APIs, databases, client-server models and networking — to close the gap between the business and tech sides
- Familiar with, or open to using, AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI productivity tools) to cut steps out of the process and manage projects more efficiently
- Leadership, clear communication, a positive mindset, able to work under pressure, strong at solving problems on the spot, and flexible
