Role Overview
The IT Manager will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of ERP solutions, networking infrastructure, and server management for the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi. This role requires exceptional leadership and a proven track record, particularly with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics AX, to ensure robust and efficient IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company's ERP system, with a primary emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Direct and mentor a team of IT professionals responsible for ERP administration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of the company's networking infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and security.
- Manage all aspects of server administration, including hardware provisioning, virtualization, disaster recovery planning, and capacity management.
- Collaborate closely with departmental stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective ERP system enhancements and optimizations.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation related to ERP, networking, and server management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in ERP systems, networking technologies, and server administration.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on IT initiatives, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 15 to 20 years of similar experience.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP software, including implementation, customization, and ongoing support.
- Thorough understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
- Proficiency in server administration, including Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Masters degree.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, or PMP.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
What We Offer
- Start date: Mid-June 2025 (interviews around June 17).
- Duration: Minimum 2-year contract.
- Workload: Full-time, 5-6 days per week negotiable
- Location: On-site in Abu Dhabi, UAE (main meeting in Bucharest possible).
