Are you a bilingual or multilingual Russian speaker with a passion for linguistics, cultural mediation, and helping others communicate across barriers? We are seeking sharp, professional, and clear-spoken individuals to join our global localization network as Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI).

This position is 100% Work From Home (WFH), allowing you to work from absolutely anywhere in Portugal (mainland or islands) while making a meaningful impact on global communication.

The Role

• Consecutive Interpretation: Deliver real-time, accurate, and professional consecutive interpretation from Russian to English and English to Russian over the phone.
• Sector Coverage: Assist in clear communication across various vital industries, including healthcare/medical consultations, legal/immigration proceedings, public services, insurance claims, and emergency services.
• Cultural Mediation: Ensure that tone, intent, and nuances are preserved during the interpretation process without adding, omitting, or altering any information.
• Strict Confidentiality: Maintain absolute professionalism and adhere to strict data security guidelines (GDPR/HIPAA) regarding sensitive client data.

Working Model & Location

• Location: 100% Remote (Must be residing in Portugal).
• Equipment: A secure digital working environment and software will be provided. You will need to supply your own compliant hardware (specified during onboarding).

Requirements

• Language Mastery: Native or Near-Native fluency in Russian alongside an exceptional, professional command of English (C1 or C2 level minimum).
• Legal Status: Must hold an EU Passport or a valid Residence/Work Permit for Portugal (with active NIF and NISS).
• Technical Setup: Access to a private, completely quiet workspace with a high-speed, stable internet connection (Ethernet connection preferred) and a quality noise-canceling headset.
• Core Skills: Excellent short-term memory, fast cognitive processing, active listening skills, and a strong sense of empathy and professional ethics.
• Experience: Prior experience in translation, interpretation, linguistic studies, or customer support within a bilingual environment is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
