About the Client:
Our client is a fast-growing startup building an innovative sales and marketing analytics platform. Their mission is to deliver powerful data-driven insights that empower businesses to optimize their go-to-market strategies. As they scale, they are expanding into AI/ML and seeking a foundational team member to lead this charge.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a versatile Data Engineer with a strong AI/Machine Learning background to design and build a time series forecasting engine. This is a pivotal role with ownership of the project lifecycle from model selection and training through production deployment. You will define the blueprint for future AI initiatives while contributing to the broader development of our data-driven platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of a neural network-based time series forecasting engine.
- Research, select, train, and validate machine learning models.
- Architect and optimize data structures for scalability and performance.
- Write and tune SQL queries to support ML training and serving.
- Analyze model accuracy, conduct A/B testing, and translate results into business value.
- Document processes and establish best practices for future AI/ML initiatives.
- Act as an internal expert for upcoming AI-based projects.
- Contribute to general software development alongside the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building, training, and deploying ML models.
- Strong experience with neural network libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to validate model accuracy.
- Interest in working in a dynamic startup environment with a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and performance tuning.
- Strong Python skills using pandas, scikit-learn, etc.
- Experience with time series modeling and forecasting.
- Familiarity with AWS SageMaker and other AWS ML/data services.
- Background in software development.
