Senior R&D Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week on-site)
Salary: 16,000 PLN – 18,000 PLN Gross / Month (~€3,800 – €4,200)
Industry: Space & Satellite Manufacturing
The Mission
In the fast-paced world of satellite R&D, speed and precision are everything. We are looking for a Senior R&D Supply Chain Specialist who lives at the intersection of Engineering and Procurement. This isn't just about managing vendors; it's about being the tactical link that ensures our electronics engineers have the hardware they need to innovate without delay.
In this role, you will be the "bridge" between technical design and physical reality, sourcing the complex electronic components that power our next generation of space-bound technology.
The Role
You will work side-by-side with our hardware development teams to navigate the global electronics market. Your goal is to secure high-quality components for prototypes and small-batch production, ensuring that R&D timelines are never bottlenecked by the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sourcing: Identify and secure electronic components, semiconductors, and PCB/PCBA services tailored for high-reliability space applications.
- Rapid Prototyping Support: Quickly scout and onboard suppliers capable of delivering small batches and quick-turn prototypes.
- Engineering Partnership: Work closely with Electronics Engineers to understand BOM (Bill of Materials) requirements and propose alternative components when faced with lead-time issues.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain a specialized network of vendors who understand the unique quality requirements of the space and hardware sectors.
- Process Optimization: Streamline the procurement lifecycle for R&D to move from "spec" to "part-on-desk" as fast as possible.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate is someone who can read a technical drawing or datasheet with one eye and a procurement contract with the other.
Critical Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sourcing.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record in sourcing electronic components or hardware parts.
- Technical Fluency: A solid understanding of electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or hardware development processes.
- Language: Fluent English is mandatory. (Polish proficiency is a significant advantage for local vendor coordination).
Strongly Preferred:
- An academic background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Direct experience sourcing semiconductors, embedded systems components, and PCBA services.
- A proactive, "fixer" mindset—the ability to find solutions when the standard supply chain fails.
Why Join Us in Warsaw?
- At the Heart of Innovation: Join a premier space manufacturer in Poland's growing aerospace hub.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy a balanced work-life with a 3-day office/2-day remote split.
- Impact: Your work directly influences the speed at which we reach orbit. You aren't just buying parts; you're building satellites.
