A global provider is recruiting a Ukrainian-speaking Interpreter to join their fully remote team in Portugal. In this role, you will provide high-quality Ukrainian-to-English interpretation, facilitating communication across vital sectors such as law, medicine, and insurance. This position is ideal for disciplined linguistic professionals who thrive in a remote work environment and are capable of maintaining strict neutrality.

Your Role

  • Interpretation Excellence: Accurately render concepts, meanings, tone, and style between Ukrainian and English.
  • Linguistic Integrity: Adhere to correct grammar and syntax rules in both languages.
  • Call Management: Manage the flow of the conversation following customer instructions, ensuring every detail is conveyed without taking over the call.
  • Sector Expertise: Understand and apply specialized terminology in fields such as Insurance, Legal, and Medicine (General and Forensic).
  • Detailed Accuracy: Provide strict renditions of messages, ensuring no detail is lost during the conversation.

Your Qualifications

  • Languages: C1 proficiency in both Ukrainian and English (oral and written).
  • Education: High School Diploma is mandatory; education in translation or interpretation is an advantage.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.
  • Professional Stance: Ability to stay concentrated, detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times.
  • Soft Skills: Highly disciplined, organized, and reliable with excellent time management skills.
  • Cultural Awareness: Ability to explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication between parties.
  • Legal: Must hold EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.
