Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Support Specialist to join our Nuclear or Engineering Project teams. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision on moderate to complex tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining project SharePoint sites, supporting Project Managers, and managing project documentation. A high degree of accuracy, independence, and discretion is expected.

This position will provide administrative and technical support for Construction and Project Management teams, including training, documentation handling, and project closeout support. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, and Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties with minimal supervision using discretion and judgment.
  • Assist Project Managers with developing and maintaining project SharePoint sites.
  • Communicate with users to identify needs and manage access to project files.
  • Upload, publish, archive, and organize project documents on SharePoint.
  • Provide SharePoint and Teams training to project staff.
  • Support project closeout procedures including documentation management.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractors.
  • Incorporate all startup and closeout procedures for projects.
  • Provide written and oral communications to internal teams.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote), Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Support biennial refueling outage in a designated capacity.

Qualifications & Skills

MUST HAVE NUCLEAR PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in applied management, business, or project management) AND two or more years of advanced administrative or technical experience.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a management, technical, or science-related field AND at least four years of advanced administrative or technical experience.
  • High school diploma or GED AND at least six years of advanced administrative or technical experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and other standard software.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, adaptability, and customer service orientation.
  • Able to scan and file documents accurately.
  • Solid technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Demonstrates values of safety, integrity, excellence, and accountability.

Desired Education and Certifications (Not Required)

  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Construction Management Certification

Desired Abilities and Skills

  • Experience collaborating across all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with records management and company-specific software.
  • Previous administrative experience at a commercial nuclear site.
  • At least 2 years experience using Microsoft Word for advanced document editing.
