Working as an interpreter is a rewarding career where you could help people every single day. The work is interesting, because each call is different. From assisting with the birth of a baby, to helping a 911 operator with an emergency, or helping a young couple fill out a loan application for their first home, you never know what may happen in your next interpreting session.

As an interpreter, you listen to a limited English-speaking individual, analyze the message, and accurately convey its meaning to our customer. Each call is a three-way conversation between the interpreter, the client, and the limited English-speaking person the client serves. You will be speaking in the first person throughout the interpretation session

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • High School
  • Manual dexterity to type or write notes

Other technical requirements:

  • Device requirements (It is possible to work from computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and headset)
    High-speed Internet connection for work-related electronic communication (Minimum speed of 5MB download and 3MB upload)
  • Paper shredder to dispose of handwritten notes taken during calls
  • A quiet workspace

We Offer:

  • Two probation periods of 30 days each, with a gross monthly salary of $9,000 MXN.
  • Permanent employment contract upon successfully completing both 30-day probation periods.
  • Gross Monthly Salary: $11,000 MXN (starting from the first week of operations).
  • 12 vacation days per year, as established by Mexican labor law.
  • 25% vacation bonus.
  • 15 days of Christmas bonus (aguinaldo) per year, or proportional to the time worked.
  • Life insurance coverage of $120,000 MXN.
  • Monthly support bonus of $250 MXN gross for electricity and internet (deposited in the first pay period of each month).
