Job Title: Oracle APPS DBA & OCI Admin
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Apps DBA with expertise in managing Oracle EBS (12.x), databases (11g and above), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with SQL and PostgreSQL database administration. This role involves administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and cloud operations to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oracle EBS Administration:
- Manage Oracle EBS environments, including backups, cloning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Provide support for Oracle SRs and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL Database Management:
- Maintenance of Oracle (11g and above), SQL and PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability, optimal performance and security management.
- Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery tasks for Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, implement optimizations, and ensure high availability for Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement tuning best practices.
- Handle DB migrations and ensure smooth integration with new technologies or platforms.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SQL for query optimization and database management.
- Work with SQL and PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Cloud Console Management:
- Manage and support EBS and databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Use Cloud Console for provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud resources.
- Perform database migrations, backups, and other essential tasks within the OCI environment.
- Support hybrid environments and participate in cloud migration initiatives.
- Troubleshoot OCI-related issues and ensure seamless integration with on-premise systems.
- Others:
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Work with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting for task automation.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Oracle EBS 12.x Apps DBA with good exposure to SQL, PostgreSQL databases and OCI Administration.
- Proficient in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning techniques.
- Solid understanding of database backup, cloning, maintenance and recovery strategies, particularly with Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Oracle database monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Experience with automation tools and scripts to streamline DBA tasks.
- Knowledge of database security practices and compliance standards.

- Able to work independently and within teams in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Middleware and WebLogic Server.
- Certifications:
- Oracle DBA and/or OCI certifications are preferred.
