Expert Solution Engineer - Agile/Scrum Delivery Master

Program Introduction:

A modernization program has been initiated within the organisation, documented in the eDossier program. This is a very ambitious initiative, consisting of several projects with a tight schedule. To continue shaping and developing the program, we are looking for strong profiles who wish to engage temporarily.

Position Overview:

One of the profiles we are seeking is a Solution Engineer Scrum/Agile Delivery Master, expert level (+10 years of experience). The ideal candidate is a solution engineer with a background in Java cloud engineering and extensive experience as a scrum/agile delivery master. You will participate in an ongoing initiative. Below is a description of all tasks and skills required. You will form a team with very experienced, highly skilled, and motivated persons. The team is composed entirely of expert profiles.

Requirements:

- Higher education degree in computer science from a recognized European high school or university is mandatory. 

- Continuous learning to stay updated on the latest sustainable trends and innovations in development, focusing primarily on software/solutions developments using structured and unstructured data in hybrid cloud environments.

- Practical experience (+10 years) in designing/defining and developing APIs.

- Practical experience (+10 years) in the development of microservices and their integration.

- Practical experience (+10 years) in Java SE.

- Practical experience (+5 years) in Java SE10+.

- Practical experience (+5 years) with event-driven architecture and systems (event sourcing and event handling).

- Practical experience (+5 years) in software design (cloud, API, microservices, eventing).

- Practical experience (+5 years) as a scrum/agile delivery master, combined or not with the role of Java developer or software architect, within software projects (greenfield) with the following technologies: API, microservices, eventing, and (native) cloud.

- Practical experience (+3 years) in implementing agile frameworks, such as Safe and Less.

- Practical experience (+2 years) with Azure DevOps to manage the agile delivery of software/solutions.

- Ability to propose alternative solutions and make recommendations on choices to be made, considering the entire context.

- Good listening skills, a flexible attitude, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Knowledge and use of behavior-driven development/design and testing is an asset.

- Knowledge of the Angular framework is an asset.

Language Proficiency:

Due to the nature of the tasks and clientele (bilingual work environment), as well as our internal working mode, a very good (active) knowledge of English is required, along with a very good knowledge of Dutch and French.

- As a scrum master, you utilize your technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, daily stand-ups). You are responsible for (contributing to) the development of a medium- and long-term release schedule for various initiatives, considering external dependencies. This allows you to focus not only on the short term but also to make future-oriented projections.

- You continuously develop your expertise while gathering, updating, and disseminating knowledge on new tools and practices within the team.

- Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to meet complex challenges and provide effective solutions.

- You enjoy teamwork and can effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to fully understand and address project needs.
