About the Company & Project:

For an international manufacturing & sales organization with multiple sites and revenue between 30-150M. We are launching a strategic transformation to migrate from Microsoft AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) in the cloud. The program will standardize core processes across sites and countries, integrate key systems (WMS/MES/EDI/e-commerce/banking), and establish an evergreen operating model with regular updates.


Role Purpose:

Own the end-to-end delivery of the D365 F&O program from assessment and design through build, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare while steering the integrator, coordinating internal stakeholders, and ensuring scope, quality, schedule, and budget are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program governance: Set up and run LCS & Azure DevOps, master plan, budget, RAID log, steering cadence, KPIs.

  • Assessment & roadmap: Lead a rapid evaluation of upgrade vs. re-implementation; recommend the target approach with costs, risks, and timeline.

  • Solution blueprint & Fit/Gap: Drive standard-first design; quantify gaps (RICE), TCO of customizations, and update impact.

  • Vendor management: Select, contract, and manage the D365 integrator (deliverables, SLAs, CRs, burn-down, quality gates).

  • Data migration: Define scope (masters/transactions), mapping, cleansing rules, and run mock cycles (M1/M2/M3) to readiness criteria.

  • Integrations: Coordinate EDI/MES/WMS/CRM/e-commerce/banking/tax; ensure robust non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience).

  • Testing: Build SIT/UAT strategy and scripts, acceptance criteria, and a regression approach suitable for evergreen releases (automation prioritized).

  • Security & compliance: Oversee roles, SoD, audit trails, and country localizations (VAT, SAF-T/e-invoicing as relevant).

  • Cutover & hypercare: Own detailed cutover plan, go/no-go criteria, runbook, and stabilization KPIs post go-live.

  • Change & training: Orchestrate communications, role-based training, and adoption metrics with process owners and key users.


Required Experience & Skills:

  • 2-3 full end-to-end D365 F&O deployments (manufacturing/distribution), including multi-site/multi-country roll-outs.

  • Strong domain knowledge in WMS, MRP/production planning, intercompany, industrial costing, quality management, pricing/rebates, and finance/tax localizations.

  • Hands-on with LCS, Azure DevOps, and preferably Microsofts Success by Design practices.

  • Proven vendor/integrator management in a fixed-price or hybrid model; confident with change control and contract governance.

  • Excellent risk management, stakeholder communication, and leadership across operations, finance, IT, and sites.

  • Certifications appreciated: PMP/Prince2, Prosci (Change), MB-300 (+ MB-310/320 a plus).

  • Language skills: English & French required; Dutch is an advantage.


Deliverables & KPIs:

  • Project charter, master plan & budget, governance model, weekly dashboard with KPIs.

  • Solution blueprint, Fit/Gap register with RICE scoring, environment strategy.

  • Test strategy (SIT/UAT), scripts & acceptance criteria; prioritized regression automation pack.

  • Data migration strategy, mappings, cleansing rules, mock cycle results & cutover data plan.

  • Detailed cutover plan & runbook; hypercare playbook with stabilization metrics.

  • Measured outcomes: milestone adherence (time/budget), % standard vs. custom, test pass rates & defect leakage, cutover execution, user adoption/training completion.
