Position Overview

The Senior Application Engineering Manager will lead a high performing engineering team supporting key consumer electronics customers within the Adhesive Technologies business unit. This role focuses on developing innovative adhesive solutions and application processes that position the company as a best in class technical partner. The position combines technical leadership, people development, customer collaboration, and strategic investment in laboratory capabilities to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team supporting the companys top consumer electronics accounts to develop new adhesives and processes, ensuring the team is recognized as a best-in-class partner
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and personal development across the engineering organization
Mentor team members, providing guidance and support for long-term career growth
Oversee capital expenditures and drive continuous improvement of laboratories and capabilities, ensuring readiness for future challenges
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, legal requirements, and relevant industry or customer specifications

Qualifications

Education
Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering

Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience with adhesives and films/tapes used in consumer electronics applications

Leadership
At least 5 years of experience leading a team of 5+ engineers or scientists as direct reports

Technical Skills
Ability to apply agile methodologies and adapt to evolving customer needs and market conditions
Familiarity with FEA, flow modeling, CAD tools, and laboratory automation technologies
