Construction Supervisor – Projects (Expat)

Location: DRC (Site-Based, Rotation)
Employment Type: Contract 12-month

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Supervisor to support our client's project team by overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities across mining and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Acting as the key link between site teams, contractors, and project management, you will play a critical role in driving execution and resolving issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily construction site operations
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure high performance
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and resolve delays or conflicts
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and technical specifications
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges to keep projects on track
  • Support cost control through effective use of labour and materials
  • Maintain clear communication between site teams and project stakeholders

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards on site
  • Identify hazards and implement effective control measures
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all teams
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with site procedures
  • Support implementation of site safety frameworks and best practices

Environmental Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and waste management procedures
  • Report any environmental incidents or non-compliance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in construction or related field
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and site execution
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
  • Experience in mining, infrastructure, or heavy industry preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Previous expat experience in Africa advantageous
