Project Manager / Study Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Study Manager to support our client's mining operations, leading the delivery of sustaining and growth projects from concept through to execution.
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager – Projects, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary mining and processing projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
This role requires a strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, develop robust project plans, and produce high-quality business cases to support senior management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle: scope, budget, schedule, execution, and close-out
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, operations, contractors)
Develop and deliver project plans, schedules, and execution strategies
Ensure alignment between project activities and operational requirements
Manage contractors, procurement processes, and work packages
Monitor project cost, schedule, and performance against targets
Lead risk assessments, change management, and reporting processe
Oversee commissioning, handover, and post-project reviews
- Prepare executive-level reports and business cases for project approvals
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' experience in mining, processing, or construction environments
- At least 5 years in a Project Manager role
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil)
Strong background in shutdowns, capital projects, or plant environments
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related field
Strong understanding of project controls (cost, schedule, risk)
- Previous expat experience in Africa preferred

- Ability to work across multi-cultural and cross-functional teams
- High level of initiative and problem-solving ability
- Strong reporting and communication skills (English essential, French advantageous)
Ability to drive accountability and deliver results in complex environments
