HME Maintenance Trainer (3 Positions)
Location: Kolwezi, DRC (Glencore)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term (with potential extension)
About the Role
We are seeking three experienced HME Maintenance Trainers to upskill and develop our maintenance planners. This is a hands-on training and coaching role focused on improving planning quality, maintenance strategies, and system utilisation within a heavy mining environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mobile equipment maintenance expertise combined with proven planning experience and systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured training to maintenance planners on HME maintenance best practices

Coach planners on effective planning and scheduling methodologies

Support development of maintenance strategies and planning standards

Train teams on proper use of AMT and SAP within the planning workflow

Review existing planning processes and recommend improvements

Work closely with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams

Provide progress reports on training effectiveness and competency development
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance planning within mining or heavy industry

Strong background in Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) maintenance

Proven experience training or mentoring planners (highly advantageous)

Experience in open-pit mining environments preferred
Technical Skills

Working knowledge of AMT (essential)

Working knowledge of SAP PM (essential)

Strong understanding of maintenance strategies (RCM, RCA, FMEA advantageous)

Solid understanding of condition monitoring and reliability principles
Languages
